Step 5 – Periodic Reviews

Periodic reviews may be conducted during the certification period, where required. You'll then need to be re-certified at the end of your certification period.

  • The audit report may demand a mid-term review to be carried out about half way through the certification period (12-24 months after your initial certification).
  • During this review, your chosen audit firm will verify that your systems are still working effectively and that you have addressed all non-conformances. A mid-term review audit is usually shorter and cheaper than a full certification audit. It can be limited to desktop work, but sometimes requires on-site visits.
  • At the end of the certification period, you will need to carry out a re-certification audit to renew your company's certificate and RJC membership.
