Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) is looking for a full-time Marketing Manager to join it’s management team in London. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for executing the RJC ‘s communications strategy and managing the company’s marketing initiatives. Job Purpose

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for executing the RJC ‘s communications strategy and managing the company’s marketing initiatives. They will also use market research and analysis to direct marketing strategy and planning while overseeing the production of all promotional materials and marketing campaigns. The Marketing Manager will also be responsible for regular reporting on marketing results to senior executives. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will also head up the social media strategy and implementation.

Role and Responsibilities

The primary areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:

  • Establishing marketing goals based on past performance and market forecasts
  • Research and analyse market trends, demographics, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies
  • Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with members, key stakeholders, advertisers, and production managers
  • Initiate market research studies on membership and analyse their findings
  • Manages all events
  • Working with the Communications Committee Co-chairs and external agency to develop detailed marketing plans for all media channels
  • Initiate and manage the creative development of promotional materials, newsflash, website content, annual report on progress, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects
  • Communicating with various media buyers, advertising agencies, printers, and other services to help marketing projects come to fruition
  • Provides in-depth information to key stakeholders, and acts as a representative for the marketing department at key stakeholder events
  • Working within the department budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans for each project or service
  • Tracking all marketing and sales data and creates detailed written reports and verbal presentations to bring to senior executives
  • Adjusting marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback
Skills, experience and personal qualities
  • 5 to 10 years Marketing experience
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with an enthusiastic attitude to work
  • Exceptional design, writing and communication skills
  • Flexible team player, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

This role will be entitled to 28 days annual leave per annum pro rata plus UK bank holidays (on pro rata basis)

This role will automatically be enrolled into the RJC’s company pension scheme.
