Membership Services Manager

Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) is looking for a full-time Membership Services Manager to join it’s management team in London. The Membership Services Manager will manage all processes relating to RJC’s membership journey from initial applications through to certification and beyond. Job Purpose

The Membership Services Manager’s purpose is:

  • To manage all processes relating to RJC’s membership journey from initial applications through to certification and beyond.
  • To support the execution of key strategic projects aimed at membership growth and engagement
  • To report regularly on the progress of membership services according to the agreed KPIs
  • To manage all pre-joining queries and ensure that all prospects are well informed on the RJC certification process
  • To manage the due diligence process for all applications including reference checks
  • To follow up on leads and process all new membership applications
  • To manage correct and timely invoicing of membership fees including receiving payments and issuing receipts.
Role and Responsibilities

The primary areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:

  • Manage all processes related to the membership journey:
    • Application
    • Invoicing
    • Credit control
    • Certification Communications
  • Maintain accurate member data capture across RJC’s CRM and other platforms.
  • Track all membership activity data and create detailed written reports to bring to senior executives
  • Coordinate all administration on membership and ensure that all applications are diligently managed on-time, within scope
  • Ensure that members on the pre-certification path receive regular consistent contact to measure their pace and understand their issues.
  • Report and provide feedback from membership communications to appropriate teams to ensure member queries are satisfied.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills, experience and personal qualities
  • 5 years+ experience preferably in a trade association, membership organisation or customer-oriented environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to generate graphs, charts and other related reporting tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to deal with a variety of global industry stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Pay attention to detail while also seeing the big picture – connect the dots.
  • Ability to prioritise competing tasks and demands.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with an enthusiastic attitude to work
  • Flexible team player, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Legally entitled to work in the UK

This role will be entitled to 28 days annual leave per annum pro rata plus UK bank holidays (on pro rata basis)

This role will automatically be enrolled into the RJC’s company pension scheme.
