Topic Experts

RJC has developed a Topic Expert accreditation program to support Members and Auditors in implementing the RJC’s Certification programs. Topic Experts may be generalists or specialists, and can act as a resource for assisting with the development of appropriate business systems, carrying out self assessments, or filling specialist roles in audit teams. The use of a Topic Expert is not a requirement of RJC certification, and nor is their use a guarantee of a successful audit. If they are used, Topic Experts must be independent, and not part of a Member or Accredited Auditor firm: RJC requires that Topic Experts cannot assist in an audit for Members where they have played a consulting role.

Accredited Topic Experts

Below (in alphabetical order) is a list of the RJC Accredited Topic Experts, as well as general information on their expertise, a short biography and contact details. If you have any general questions about engaging an Accredited Topic Expert, please contact training@responsiblejewellery.com. We also have an FAQ section at the bottom of the page.

Nadine’s main field of work is fundraising and financing, including risk management. In addition she has experience in the implementation of sustainable development goals, especially the global conventions on toxics of POPs/Basel/PIC and has been visiting several mines and mining communities in South America to work on these. During her time as a programme officer for environmental management in small scale mining, the use of chemicals in beneficiary companies reduced substantially. The development projects she has worked in have had strong results in water and waste management, with capacity building measures conducive to the spirit of entrepreneurship and eco-efficiency, while the mitigation of child labour contributed to strengthen social efficiency and community development. Today, the strategies in the mining sector and their related communities in various parts of the world are durably anchored in the integrated water and air management strategies and a specific focus of Nadine’s work has always been the share of knowledge and experience and the access to financing for upgraded technologies.
