Late and overdue RJC certification

From March 2019, RJC members who have not achieved RJC certification or re-certification by their due date, will be suspended with immediate effect. This may impact some or all of your business relationships so please refer to the information below to find out why we are making these changes and how you can prevent your RJC member company from being suspended.

Why is RJC making these changes?

Every business that becomes a member of the RJC receives a unique page on our website where we display information about their business and membership. These pages can be used to validate RJC membership and certification status with business partners, suppliers and customers. To ensure these pages reflect the most up to date membership and certification information, we are introducing some changes to:

  • Make sure the RJC website remains a tangible benefit for members in good standing
  • Encourage members to take the necessary steps to achieve their certification by their due date
  • Ensure the website remains a credible source of information for all stakeholders

What are the changes?

If a member company does not pay their membership fee on time or goes past their certification or mid-term review due date, their membership and certification status will be suspended. Their unique member page will no longer be publicly visible and specific terms and conditions will apply. Please check your status below and refer to the relevant section for more information:

New member preparing for initial RJC certification

New RJC members  have two years to achieve RJC certification.

During this time their unique member web page will be visible on the RJC website.

If a new member fails to achieve their initial RJC certification on time, their page will be suspended and they will have six months to achieve certification.

During this grace-period, their unique member web page will not be visible.

Failing to achieve RJC certification within the grace-period will result in immediate resignation and paid membership fees will not be refunded. For more information, please refer to the RJC Membership Fees policy.

Existing member with paid membership fee but with late RJC re-certification

Existing RJC members who fail to achieve re-certification prior to the expiry of their current certification, will be suspended.

Suspended members will have six months to achieve re-certification. Please refer to the Principles of Re-certification Validity Dates page to see how delays further affect certification dates.

During this grace-period, their unique member web page will not be visible.

Once RJC confirms the re-certification audit is complete, the unique member web page will be made visible and will reflect the completed audit status.

Failing to achieve RJC certification within the grace-period will result in immediate resignation.

Existing member with outstanding membership fee and late RJC re-certification

Existing RJC members with both outstanding membership fees and late RJC re-certification will be resigned from RJC with immediate effect.

Resigned members will have the option to return to RJC membership as per the Re-joining RJC policy. Please note, specific terms and conditions will apply.

Please read this policy carefully to understand your options clearly before re-applying for membership.

Required to have a mid-term review?
If the RJC requires your business to have a mid-term review, the rules above will also apply. Any business failing to conduct their mid-term review on time will be suspended immediately and will only be re-instated once the mid-term review audit has been completed.

It’s important to remember your membership with the RJC is a partnership and we aim to work closely with all our members to ensure they get the best out of their membership and certification.

To ensure we deliver efficient and stable services and remain up to date, please keep us informed of any changes to your business that will have an impact on your membership and certification by contacting the RJC Membership department by clicking here.
