Code of Practices 2013

Your pathway to responsible business practices

Due to the increasing risks of the COVID-19 virus and the extensive travel restrictions, the RJC is providing temporary measures on audit flexibility to support our members. For members with an in-person or 'onsite' audit scheduled for the period March 1 – June 30, 2020, we are offering a six-month extension to the RJC audit deadline. Our dedicated team is on hand to support you on your journey towards certification and to answer any questions you may have. If you have any queries please email: Daylia Brown daylia.brown@responsiblejewellery.com

Certification Pathway

Step-by-step guide to achieving RJC Code of Practices 2013 Standards certification.

Use the RJC Code of Practices self-assessment tool to monitor your progress with compliance and get ready for your audit.

When you are ready, schedule your audit with an RJC accredited auditor.

Your auditor will share their findings with you. Any non-conformances (NC) will be discussed and you will be required to develop a Corrective Action Plan (CAP).

Major NC: 1 year certification awarded

Congratulations! You are an RJC Certified Commercial Member. You can now use the official RJC Certified logo on all your communications.

If required, some members may receive a mid-term review to assess your progress. This will be discussed with you during your audit report.

Schedule your re-certification audit with an RJC accredited auditor. Re-certification is required prior to the expiry of your current certification. Any delays will result in a gap in your certification period. You can apply for re-certification no more than four months prior to your expiry date.
